Bart is busy putting a new roof over the Mules' Pen entrance so that the donkeys can stand there without being rained on.
A busy helper is repainting the donkey and cart.

There is always a huge amount of repairing and repainting to do because these are very old buildings and they have been neglected for decades. You can see how rotten some of the doors have become and the tin roof over the garage is completely rusted out. ALL the maintainence is left to us and as there are only two of us plus some great helpers, it takes a long time!

Most of the work is done in a frantic rush in the spring and autumn because the weather is too bad in winter and we are too busy with donkeys and visitors in the summer.
